first level professional examination Explanation: ... to which you'll also have to add the subject if it's not clear from the context. Since the English and German legal training systems are substantially different, I would suggest you require more of an explanation than a translation - I'm sure you can do better than the above, it's still a bit early in the morning for me :-) |

first state examination in law Explanation: Several websites say 'first state exam' but I think you need law in there and 'examination' rather than 'exam'. 'Exam' sounds a bit tooinformal to me. |
