German term or phrase: herkunftsgesichert
Good morning honored Colleagues!
This is an interesting term and I would appreciate your help in translating it. I haven't found a satisfying translation in the dics or KOG, although Linguee provides 'source identified' as a not-so-elegant option. I would love to find a term that includes 'secure' in some form. Source secure or source guaranteed or guarantee of origin or origin ensured, all of which fail to provide the 'feel' of a term that sounds both natural and long-established.
The initiative, by the way, is supported by Greenpeace, WWF, BUND, etc. and is, in my opinion very much worth an appealing, excellent translation:

Thank you all so very much! I have listed all the options and sent them to the client. My personal favorite is truly traceable, which is why I am awarding points to Frederik. It is never easy finding original and understandable terminology, but worth the effort!

Asker: Many thanks, Milady! How about a nice adjective? Positively traceable? perfectly traceable?

Asker: SO SORRY Frederik! for some reason I thought you were female! Thank you Milord! (I am usually addressed as Sir)

Asker: Hi Bill, You just hit the wrong tab. I could really care less about Google hits. People don't hire me to render the common translation, I have to really work for my money - and I LOVE it!
