Home and Farm Management Explanation: The German sentence would have been nice Anyway, recently came across this term at a conference where we interpreters were asked to translate it as "Home and Farm Management" -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 5 mins (2009-07-24 08:12:35 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- or domestic and farming businesses |

smallholders/smallholdings Explanation: Would be a tentative suggestion. The term seems to be a new one (I can't find it anywhere on Google) but from the context the difference appears to be one of scale - the Landwirte are farmers and the HHW are smallholders. Silvaia's suggestion seems to me to fail since "management" can't be used in the plural, and "farming businesses" would be the Agrarbetriebe. |
