From a form for aircraft maintenance. Headed "BEGRÜNDUNG DES INSTANDSETZUNGSBEDÜRFTIG. ZUSTANDS", it has a table marked "Bearbeitungsvermerke der Inst-Einheit". Thanks!

Selected
repair unit
or repair group. "Inst-Einheit" is more a military term and means Instandsetzungseinheit, i.e. the repairing "unit". I think I would prefer repair group.

overhaul unit
as a sports pilot and owner of a Piper, I know about the yearly general overhaul. I can only surmise that Inst-Einheit here means
Instandstellungseinheit which again translates to an overhaul unit or an overhaul team. Such general overhauls are rarely done by just one man, as specialists are needed for the various sectors of a plane.
Hence the unit or team.
