accounting treatment Explanation: A rather odd duck here. While it literally means "accounting evaluation" I would hazard to guess that what is really meant is both the evaluation of the item in question AND the subsequent accounting treatment based on the respective accounting principles and the results of the evaluation. In other words, an evaluation of the item in question to determine what kind of accounting treatment is required, e.g. capitalization or some other kind of treatment, e.g. immediate recognition of an expense |
