Georgian term

ამ ქალაქში თავისუფლად რომ სუნთქავ, ეგეც გასაკვირია, სუფტა ჰაერი მომინდომე ეხლა.

Me again - the text I'm translating is pretty difficult.

In this phrase, I understand the first part - "It's surprising that you can even breathe freely in this city". But I don't understand what სუფტა ჰაერი მომინდომე ეხლა has to do with it.

Again, thanks very much in advance.

...and you are asking more? You are asking for fresh air?

The overall meaning of the sentence is the following:
It's even surprising that you can breath in this city at all, and you are asking for more? You are asking for fresh air?
