Le MVNO s’interdit d’utiliser pour elle même et s’engage à interdire à ses Utilisateurs Finaux les boitiers radios plus communément dénommés « Hérissons », ces derniers dégradant la qualité sonore des communications et interdisant l’identification de l’appelant.

What are these called in English, I cannot find it anywhere, and the other Kudoz entry doesn't seem to fit...

'boîtier radio' is a very general term, you might do better to re-post this question with 'hérisson' as your queried term.

neutral Tony M : Although case / casing is indeed one common translation of 'boîtier', when qualified as it is here, the emphasis is not on the actual enclosure itself, but the whole functional object, and it is often better rendered as 'unit', for example.
