It's very vague but that may be as the writer is alluding to all sorts of "strings" (bracelets, earrings, pendants, etc.) with cut (faceted stones)
Looking at websites, I did notice that a "string" can be a string of stones or one stone hanging on a "string" of some sort.
You could almost say any sort of jewellery that dangles and has 1+ faceted stones.

First of all, who or what is 'il'? Your question seems to suggest it refers to some graphic design tool, yet that doesn't really seem to fit with the rest of the very short snippet of text...
Could this actually be someone who likes 'sequinned G-strings'??!! That could sort of fit with the notion of 'orfèvre' and visuals...
