Hi,
This is taken from an interview with a jeweller who is expressing his love for "or sauvage" which became popular in the 1970s.

Unwrought gold
Or sauvage: Or travaillé mat ou poli vif avec rendu naturel, brut.

Suggestion based on the above information which seems to fit the context.
Unwrought gold = Or mat (brut)
Raw = Naturel, brut (rough)

I read about gold in the seventies and yellow gold was very popular. You see "or jaune sauvage" for example. It is worth considering these lines (link provided above):
"Formé dans les ateliers de la bijouterie parisienne Murat, il se passionne pour le traitement des matériaux et l'art des métaux, un intérêt qui le mène à inventer le concept de l'or sauvage en 1968-69 [...] Associé à des pierres de couleurs gravées et aux diamants, l'inspiration indienne est manifeste.

: Maybe, but I'm not sure. "Unwrought gold is impure gold created from scrap which needs further processing, mainly refining, before it can be used for manufacture of other articles."

: Looking at your reference, it makes it clear that the gold was, indeed "wrought" ("torsadé, granulé, froissé, martelé, ciselé, oxydé ...), in ordre to make it look "natural" and "rough".

If you google "gold nugget jewelry" you'll find that there are plenty of variations on the theme, some of which are similar to your link.

Note from asker:
Not sure gold nugget, as shown in your link, is the same as the type of gold used in my link. Thanks. |
Discussion
Context is best given by quoting the source text, not the Asker's translation of it.
As you requested a sentence and more context, I provided it. I replaced 'or sauvage' with what I thought had been suggested for an English translation ('yellow gold').
It was just to clarify the context and help find a more suitable solution.
Thanks.
Though other colours of gold have been popular and fashionable at different periods, yellow has always been a widely used colour and the term "yellow gold" is commonly used to cover all that isn't white gold or rose gold.
"It’s a great object. And the last, well, it’s an object from the 70s. It’s the Colibri by Pierre Sterlé, and here is where we started to see the use of yellow gold (or sauvage), the metal…that’s an object which I like a lot"
Now it would help to have a full sentence.

Yellow gold, perhaps? Taken from this:

"Wild gold" gets some hits, but I can't find a definition.
