French term

en pré-aortique

French to English Medical Medical (general) Échographie étage sus-mésocolique / Dimensions du foie
Ultrasound scan report from France describing the size of a liver:

- en pré-aortique : 10.6 cm;
- en pré-veineux cave : 11.4 cm;

"Preaortic", I guess, but I can't find much in English to support this and I'm unsure how to render "en". Preaortic line?

Into U.S. English.

I think it refers to the vertical depth of the liver in front of the aorta. "pré" normally means anterior as in pre-aortic lymph nodes
