If you type "+cladding +siding" into Google, you will find a load of sites that seem to suggest that the terms are synonymous. However, if you read carefully, you'll find that "siding" is one form of "cladding" and is usually vinyl. It seems to be particularly popular in the USA. Since your "bardage" is metal, I would definitely use "cladding".
