The direction of translation is unclear. However, PR remains Pyruvate Ringer's in this context.

Per Rectum (to be taken rectally)

Explanation:
PR is a common abbreviation of the words "Per Rectum". Meaning; a medical product/medicine to use rectally.

Sources:
https://www.resourcepharm.com/pre-reg-pharmacist/pharmacy-ab...
https://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/PR
https://www.georgebrown.ca/sites/default/files/uploadedfiles...

Other commonly used terms/abbreviations in that field are; PO (Per Os = taken by mouth) or IV (Intravenous = Given in the vein) etc.

I've previously been working in hospitals for +10 years (in Denmark), with a license in medicine, so I know that these abbreviations are often used in ex. patients' medicine papers, etc. However, it's important to remember that PR can mean multiple terms, depending on the medical context. Ex. if we're talking PR in a cardiology context, it often means "Pulse Rate", etc.

neutral  Lingua 5B: Lactated Ringer's is an intravenous fluid and can’t be administered rectally.

-> Thank you very much for the information! I can see that now that I've googled it.

disagree  Joseph Tein: Yes. Checking the nature of the product would have been good.

-> FYI your tone is a tad harsh! I provided a sincere response, not a joke. I suggested "Per Rectum" as it often abbreviates as "PR" in the context of med. prescriptions. Admittedly, I should have googled "Ringer's Solution" first, but it slipped my mind.
