English term

15˚ percent

English Tech/Engineering Electronics / Elect Eng
As usual the last segment is giving me troubles.

"Camera System operates in Tempetures of 15˚ percent to 105˚F (10˚C to 40˚C)"

It's part of the manual for a camera system. 10˚C is 50˚F. I don't know what is that '15˚ percent' doing in the sentence. I think this is a typo but I want to be sure.

Looks like a mistake by whoever compiled the manual

agree Ken Cox : and that's not the only one -- 'temperatures' misspelled, unnecessary capitalisation, and it should be 'at temperatures of' (or better 'over the temperature range of ...')

Thanks, Kenneth. The author may have shown a little less than "exceptional attention to detail" (a common phrase in a technical writer's resume).
agree jccantrell : It does look like a mistake.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thank you both. It should've been (-10˚C)."
