English term

structures

English Other Architecture
this was a term began in the nineteenth century, reflecting that certainty that Romanseque structures, in the same way as those of the aged Roman Empire, have a tendency to show a solid feeling of extent and request, are strong and hearty, and characteristic various adjusted curves and vaults.

Discussion

B D Finch Dec 22, 2014:
What on earth ... ... is this meant to be? It is not even up to the standard of Google Translate. Much of it is utter gibberish! Strangely, the use of the term that you ask about is perfectly OK, but what surrounds it is not coherent English.

structure of buildings/buildings

and "Romanesque" is spelling

structures=the structure of buildings or
the buildings themselves

"and characteristic various adjusted curves and vaults"

and with characteristic modified curves and vaults (maybe?)

also, should not be "aged" but "Ancient Roman Empire" or just "Roman Empire" alone will do

agree Jack Doughty : Yes, the English is weird. What on Earth is "a solid feeling of request"?

agree B D Finch : Perhaps the result of a monolingual (not English) computer studies student trying to build their very own MT program?
