Följande två meningar är ur texten jag översätter (handlar om kateterinläggning):

The clinician pierces the skin and guides the needle toward the vein, using palpation and/or sight, until they see a “flash.”

This is a flash of blood in the hub of the needle that lets them know the needle is in the vein.

Frågade kunden och fick detta svar som tyvärr inte hjälpte så mycket:

“Flash” is a common term used to see that the needle has pierced the vein and blood has/is flowing into the flash chamber of a needle.

Menar de att flash chamber och flash hub är samma sak? Framförallt ute efter vad flash betyder i sammanhanget.
