En un Certificate of Title de California, aparecen los datos de un vehículo y en distintas partes aparece "release" en los siguientes contextos:
"I certify that (...) the signature below releases interest in the vehicle."
"Signature releases interest in vehicle (Company names must be countersigned)."
"Release date: xxx"
Después de buscar mucho, la opción que veo mejor es "ceder los derechos sobre el vehículo", pero en la fecha no estoy segura. Encontré que "release date" se refiere a la fecha de publicación de un documento, pero en este caso me parece que se refiere a la cesión. Entonces, ¿sería Fecha de cesión"?

I agree with ceder or entregar - alas, release in Anglo-Am. property law is not inutitively obvious and has nowt to do with the (AmE) lienee (BrE) chattel mortgagee / chargee of the vehicle surrendrinmg claims thereover.

: Spot on with this. I'd probably add "derechos de propiedad (sobre...)". And for the sentence, "la firma que aparece a continuación constituye una cesión de..." / "mediante la firma/al firmar (...) se ceden..."
