For example, if the cutting edge of the toolduring the start of automatic operation is present inside the clearance-including blank (unmachined workpiece) specified in the common unit of the program, care is required since the tool will directly move from that position to the approach point because of no obstructions being judged to be present on this path.

A question of parsing: it's not a hyphen creating a compound noun, but a dash i.e. a punctuation mark between two parts of the sentence.

ja bih to nazvao "komad za obradu", ali ako postoji neki uobičajeni/usvojeni izraz bolje ga se držati.
Smisao rečenice da početna pozicija alata more biti izvan gabarita (ili kako to već prevedete) koji zauzima neobrađeni komad metala.
Možda je bolje postaviti to kao odvojeno pitanje?
