In a large integrated oil and gas company, this would be the level when the individual may be put in a cross posting assignment to the planning or finance organization where they are expected to take a lead role in the annual planning process. Typically this may include developing a company level financial or value forecast, reserves forecast and rolling up an exploration portfolio across multiple business units and making recommendations to senior decision makers in setting strategic corporate direction.
