Może to ma jakieś szczególne znaczenie tutaj w połączeniu z "count him out" i należało by całość jakoś inaczej przetłumaczyć, żeby to miało sens?

Mam na myśli całość wyrażenia, tzn. "count him down or count him out". "Był nie do pokonania" często używane jest w kontekście sportowym. Biorąc pod uwagę skojarzenia ze sportem w podanym fragmencie, myślę, że można zastosować taki "skrót" :-)
