'hands-on' experience: can I translate this as 'pengalaman amali' or 'pengalaman praktikal' ?

Perhaps you are unaware of Kudoz questioning conventions, but...
1) Each word/term/phrase should be submitted singly. One of the reasons is it's practical for Glossary entry. You have here two items in this question and they should be asked separately.
2) The word/term/phrase itself should be in the subject line, not phrases in malay language.
