English term

detachment of the vitreous humor (from the retina)

English to Latin Medical Medical (general) optometry
Actually, the abvove term was translated from the German original i.e. "Loslösung des Glaskörpers von der Netzhaut". However, the client now would prefer to see this as a Latin term. Thanks in advance for your help.

ablatio corporis vitrei

But this is not appropriate for an English text IMO, unless it's a particularly esoteric and academic one!

NB you will find English translations of this Latin expression as "ablation of vitreum" - this is absolutely incorrect.
cf ablatio retinae = retinal detachment
