I think that they are using an X-ray imaging technology for testing of these casting materials, in order to "cut off" very small and unnecessary part of the materials　or to detect and material powder. Note that they seem to prefer "X-ray" when referring to industorial imaging technology in Japanese, instead of radio-(something).　Hamamatsu Photonics is the world-leading company for industorial X-ray imaging. On the other hand, Radio- is found mainly in healthcare and medical part.
