miglioramento delle condizioni di vita o beneficio

Oltre a segnalare la mancanza delle virgole, a mio parere l'espressione è una sorta di "legal triplet" in cui i primi due lemmi ("advancement in life" e "preferment") indicano che le risorse di cui si parla possono essere utilizzate dal beneficiario per migliorare le proprie condizioni di vita, mentre il termine "benefit" viene aggiunto per chiarire che è sufficiente che queste risorse vengano utilizzate appunto "a beneficio" del beneficiario in senso generico.

Secondo cioé che capisco, si utilizza la parola 'testamento' molto pocco in inglese. Qualche volta quando si pensa in 'testamento' si ricorda che c'è la Biblia (in inglese). Come Enrique scrive, si utilizza la parola 'Will', che credevo che fosse anche 'un testimoniale'
Capisco che un testamento potrebbe essere anche un resoconto testimoniale di qualcosa del passato.
Un testimoniale conferma quanto segue:
dell'attestazione, dell'autenticazione, della conferma, della prova, della fondatezza, del testamento, della testimonianza (l'evidenza o le prove che supportano un fatto; una dichiarazione di un testimone sotto giuramento) della validazione, della verifica.
Anche, un testimoniale è la dichiara scritta che certifica il carattere di una persona, la sua conducta le sue qualifiche, e può essere una lettera di riconoscenza e di ringraziamento.
C'è anche la testimonianza che serve come della prova o come indicazione che qualcosa è evidente.

Il testamento si tratta di qualcosa con l'importanza formale e dei documenti e si utilizza la parola 'Will' in inglese quando ci sono dei casi legali dei testimoniali (testamenti) che sono verso l'avvenire e sono scritti per il futuro, come nel esempio messo.
Sembra che tratti di un padre o un tutore (guardiane) con i suoi desideri per il suo figlio in quanto al suo domicilio e il futuro della sua formazione o educazione.

I understand that the word 'testament' is used very little in English, and at times if we think about 'testament' we remember that there's a bible. The word 'will' is used which could be part of 'testimonial'
'A testament could be a written account of a past event.
A testimonial implies attestation, authentication, confirmation, evidence, substantiation in support of a fact, a declaration of a testimony under oath, validation and verification.
A testimonial is also a written declaration of a person's character, conduct and qualifications. It can be a letter of recommendation or gratitude.'

Testament deals with something's formal importance and the word 'will' is more often used in legal cases which are towards the future.
In the example it seems to be from a father's wishes for the future of his son's education and living arrangements.
