The Department of Health has been at pains to emphasise that the structures and ways of working LINks are intended to be flexible, broad and inclusive and that they may differ from area to area. Methods of involvement used by LINks may vary from providing information, through consultation and participation to "co-production" in which some groups may want to design and deliver services on a user-led model (the "expert patient" approach being cited as one model of this kind).

Αλλού η έκφραση χρησιμοποιείται με την έννοια "με βασικό κριτήριο/ενδιαφέρον/στόχο/γνώμονα τον ίδιο το χρήστη/τις ανάγκες του χρήστη", κάτι σαν χρηστοκεντρικός, κατά το ανθρωποκεντρικός :-)) (όπου χρήστης είναι ο χρήστης των υπηρεσιών υγείας) και αλλού χρησιμοποιείται ως user-controlled/user-run... Στο απόσπαμα που έδωσες γίνεται λόγος και για budget και πληρωμές, που το φέρνει προς τη δεύτερη εκδοχή, αυτή δηλαδή που προβλέπει τη συμμετοχή, ενεργό καθοδήγηση και ίσως οικονομική διαχείρηση από τους χρήστες... Εάν δε γινόταν η αναφορά σε οικονομικά, θα έλεγα απλά και γενικά ανθρωποκεντρικό...
