Regarding suspension sutures: I too have noticed that the term is sometimes used as a synonym for "tacking s.", but strictly speaking a suspension suture is used to hold the weight of the flap, whereas a tacking suture relieves tension in general. I suggest that two separate terms are needed, just like in English.

@Anastasia. In case your text is about aesthetic surgery, the term you look for ought to be <ραμματα ανάρτησης> because tacking sutures are "Suspension sutures" or "pecking sutures" and I found what I suggest now as a synonym of tacking sutures.

@ Harvatis. but we dont have any details as to the suture´s localisation, thus it could just as well be a face lift or some other aesthetical surgery where they usually use this type of suture. synonyms for tacking suture are e.g. Suspension sutures or pecking but unfortunately there seems to be no Greek equivalent for a Suspension suture or am I mistaken and there is something like a kremasti rafi ?

Correct, but in this case we are talking about the actual sutures (threads), that are used to 'tack' a flap or graft.

Ευχαριστώ! Εγώ δεν βρήκα άλλες χρήσεις αλλά οπωσδήποτε μπορεί να μπει κάποιος άλλος προσδιορισμός αντί του «κρημνού».
