English term

beat editor

English to German Other Journalism Journalism
Hallo!
Ich suche nach obigen Begriff
Danke schon mal!
Hier der Kontext:

Content creators are organized by subject
area or by audience served and led
by macroeditors rather than section
editors or *beat editors*. These macroeditors
have broader responsibilities
than simply commissioning and editing
content to fit the pages of a newspaper
section. Their job is to constantly commission
and edit text and multimedia
content of interest to their audiences or
subject areas across all platforms.

Selected

Spartenredakteur

Wäre eine Möglichkeit, evtl. auch Bereichsredakteur, aber das würde ich eher für "section editor" nehmen.
Example sentence:

Orientalistische Literaturzeitung: Spartenredakteur Semitistik ab Jg. 100 (2005).

Spartenredakteure: Belletristik / Science Fiction / Hörbücher/-spiele / Kinder- und Jugendbuch

Reference:

The beat system is specializing in one area of reporting. The word "beat" means concentrating on a particular area or category.

In the older days, the police force formed "beat groups" around different areas and estates to keep the neighbourhood safe and sound. This system is heavily used by journalist and bloggers.
Example sentence:

den deutschen Ausdruck habe ich nicht gefunden; bin im Moment nur afuf dial-up; dauert zu lange, aber wie aus dsem Kontext hervorgeht, handelt es sich umbestimmte Gebiete, die der Redakteur behandelt

Note from asker:
Danke, Ingeborg!
