my context (slightly altered):

"A diffuser according to claim x, characterised in that, the hole of the disk is suitable to be attached to a pipe segment, either by a full thread, an interrupted thread or an interrupter collar."

I have two questions:
(1) what exactly is an "interrupter collar"?
(2) what's it called in Dutch?

(1) Could be wrong about this, but I think the links https://tinyurl.com/schroefdraadonderbreking and/or https://www.gamma.nl/assortiment/gamma-kraanbovendeel-kerami... show examples of such an interrupter collar.
(2) No direct Google hits for 'onderbrekerkraag' (except in image mode) but I think this would be a fair translation.

@Michael: Sorry for the late response. Have been out of the running for a while. Regarding evidence of usage: I was not able to find that. In this case, however, I think both the source term and my suggested translation can be considered as generic expressions. Both terms cover the meaning fairly well, in my opinion. In a patent application, that would certainly be quite acceptable. Since patent docs refer to inventions and often describe completely new "thingamajigs", they can even result in new terminology -- which, of course, is not the case here ;-)
