English term
wick (noun)

I'm trying to figure out what the best Dutch term would be to refer to a "wick" in devices such as electric insect repellent diffusers, perfume diffusers, e-sigaret, etc.
It's basically these kinds of things:
Some online refs of similar things (not from my text):

https://www.weihaisz.com/Ceramic-Wick-For-Electric-Mosquito-...
https://www.gourmeteliquid.co.uk/blogs/news/vape-wicks-a-com...
~
I'm mulling over various options:
(1) wiek
(2) pit
(3) lont
(4) lemmet
Incidentally, this is a patent application, from English into (Belgian) Dutch.
Without going into any more detail, the device in my text is something in which a liquid-delivery wick uses a heat source to promote the release of a volatile material from the wick.

This object is achieved by providing the evaporator, provided with a container partially filled with liquid active substance with an at least locally elastically deformable wall, with two dip tube channels extending from a location near the container bottom to the top of the container, the one channel opens into a sputtering nozzle and the other channel contains a wick or the like absorbing material and opens into an evaporation space opening to the outside air.
(1) een lont of dergelijk opzuigend materiaal
(2) lampenpit
So this leaves us with pit/wiek. I also read the bit on Wikipedia about "wiek" being Belgian usage, but there seems to be no mention of this in e.g. Van Dale. Have a look at these screenshots (below) from the online version of Van Dale (the professional version).
Also, even though 90% of the patents I translate are for a Belgian company, I do try to use terminology that would make sense to both BE and Dutch readers wherever possible.
pit = wiek (BE NL)
pit = niet lont
