Court Appointed Special Advocates Program

Non-PRO English to Dutch Law/Patents
This is a national program in the US, whereby the Court appoints people to represent children who are abused, neglected, or otherwise need someone to speak for them.
Is there a Dutch equivalent?

de advocaat van de kinderbescherming

I don't know if there's a Dutch equivalent, but I do know the 'Kinderbescherming' takes care of abused and/or neglected children, they sure have lawyers too...

2 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thank you, your answer + explanation is good but it does not capture the fact that this is the name of a program. And to all those who answered: an 'advocate' is not an 'advocaat'. An advocate is 'any person who supports or speaks in favor of or pleads for another' (Oxford Complete Word Finder). The Dutch 'advocaat' is a 'lawyer' in (North American) English. "

een door de rechter aangestelde advocaat

I am not sure whether the Dutch have a similar program, but I believe this translation covers it.
