trade libel(l)ous; trade libel AmE schadelijk voor het bedrijfs- resp. handelsreputatie; aantasting van de handelsreputatie Explanation: Like disparagement, trade libel IMO is pre-eminently US Am. for the BrE civil-law tort offenc/se of malicious or injurious falsehood of goods or trade - 'Malicious or injurious falsehood (sometimes referred to confusingly as 'trade libel') is not concerned with reputation(?). It is a separate tort to defamation (?).' Thus, it's an area of tort not well understood by law students. Otherwise, I have an idea of what the Anglo-Am. terms of trade libel and libelous mean, but am none too sure of my Teach-Yourself Dutch therefor and think the answer is buried somewhere in the example sentences. Example sentence(s):
