Located at a place called Hiloftes-Thergio, east of the village of Kavousi of Ierapetra. The height is 50m. Towards the north east there is a sheer cliff called "The Sword of Homata" where one can see graphic layers of *Filitis* and slabs of calcareous rock-crystal and Dolmadic rock. The rock in the area of the caves is Dolmadic type from the Tertiary period. Above the cave there is a small intrusion of aluminum, and the local people refer to it as "Blade " or "Agolifa".

fyllite

I think you have mispelled this from the website on which it occurs. This is fyllites/phyllites. GIven that the author talks of layers (that are typical of a slate form). This is not translated in Dutch as it is an acknowledged name for a type of rock

aangezien deze text met steensoorten en mineralen te maken lijkt te hebben, heb je misschien iets aan de volgende link:

http://www.minerals.net/glossary/glossary.htm
hierin wordt 'filiform' beschreven als:
'Aggregate composed of thin, intergrown, twisted, pipelike strands. (i.e. flos-ferri)'. Het lijkt er mee te maken te hebben.

in Nederlandse links is er sprake van: filiforme corrosie:
