English term

Qualified notice

FVA English to Dutch Bus/Financial Finance (general)
Would anyone know the Dutch translation of the term "qualified notice" in relation to the IRS?

Context:
(4) Qualified notice. For purposes of this section, a qualified notice is a notice given by a publicly traded partnership regarding a distribution that is attributable to effectively connected income, gain or loss of the partnership, and in accordance with the notice requirements with respect to dividends described in 17 CFR 240.10b-17(b)(1) or (3) issued pursuant to the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (15 U.S.C. 78a).

The only options I could think of myself, but not sure which one would be the most correct (I can't find a huge amount of sources on either of these 3 in Dutch):

gekwalificeerde melding
gekwalificeerde kennisgeving
gekwalificeerd bericht

Officiële kennisgeving

Hi Lisa,

In the context of publicly traded partnership I would suggest to translate ‘notice’ as ‘kennisgeving’. A notice to all parties involved.

I’m not 100 % sure about the translation of ‘qualified’ though.

‘Officiële kennisgeving’ is current in legal/contractual context. However ‘geclausuleerd’ may be a more specific translation of ‘qualified’.

Kind regards,

Kristof
