Then it is Système Internationale, SI (capital i); the SI unit is mmol/l versus the conventional mg/dl. The conversion factors are exactly what you found in your text.

In terms of the ratio, the figures are not always given with and without 'Sl', but where they are for Calcium the ratio is 4 times greater for 'Ca' than 'Ca Sl' and 2.43 greater for 'Mg' than 'Mg Sl' and 3.09 greater for 'P' than 'P Sl'

Capital I or small L?<br />Is the ratio of "XX Sl/XX" always the same? Then it could be different measurement conditions. Could also have something to do with Système Internationale.
