Art. 28 + 29 Wet 1.08.1985 gew. Wet 22.04.2003 en KB 31.10.2005
I am unsure what gew. means in the sentence above. It is a sentence in a judgement by a police court.
I found somewhere that 'gew.' stands for 'repealed by'.
I would like to have some logic behind this as proof as I cant think of the word 'gew.' is the abbreviation for.

Note from asker:
So repealed by is correct for 'gew.'? |
I mean the meaning, but in English you say 'amended' without using any abbreviation? |
I am not expressing myself very well, I know the two meanings are different. Thanks for your answer. |
Thank you everyone and thank you James in particular. |

: Not repealed. And I wouldn't abbreviate it because people won't know what it means.

waarvan 51.20 EUR bij toepassing van artikel 91 K.B. 28 december 1950 gew. door K.B. 23.12.1993 en 11.12.2001. So Freek, possibly just "justified by"?
