Catalan term or phrase: diligenciar and assentaments
I am translating an Andorran law (11/2008) from Russian into English. The Russian source is itself a translation from Catalan. Sometimes the translation is not very clear, so I refer back to the Catalan original. I can read Italian and French, so I get the general drift of the Catalan document but in this particular case I need a detailed understanding.

El Registre de Fundacions ha de diligenciar els llibres abans que siguin utilitzats o bé un cop fets els assentaments i les anotacions mitjançant procediments informàtics.

Explanation:
Hi.

"Diligenciar" is the process whereby the relevant authority - in the case the Foundations Registry or Registry of Foundations - stamps each page to certify the books' authenticity and ensure no pages are missing/tampered with, etc.

"Assentaments" are the "entries" contained in the books.

The same could apply to company books, accounts, ledgers, etc...
