Mind you this is not a tree, and therefore, not a kind of wood. It is a shrub as you can see from the Wikipedia article, and there are many species of this genus. There aren't many google reference to "خشب الشيح". I think therefore that خشب was mistakenly added because of the presence of the word "wood" in the English name. Anyway wait to see other translators responses :)

بالنسبة لكلمة الشيح اان أولا غلطت في كتابتها المفروض انها خشب الشوح وليس الشيح وتلك الكلمة تطلق على نوع من الاشجار باللهجة اللبنانية لذا اذا كان عندك فكرة عن ترجمتها باللغة الانجليزية بكون ممنون كتير كتيير

agree Zareh Darakjian Ph.D. : Yes. This is a very interesting word. It's mentioned in the Bible as the start that falls and consumes 1/3 of the world. Since Chernobyl menas wormwood in Ukrainian, an association was made between the disaster and the mention in the Bible...
