German term

segmentspezifische Korrektur

segment-specific correction

one possibility
Peer comment(s):

agree Joseph Hovan : I this context, the segment I think they're referring to is the one not using the EBIT standard

segment-specific correction

A straightforward translation works here. What they mean is that the data provided by the company is not sufficiently differentiated to allow for a breakdown correction based on market segment (or possibly time period/fiscal year segment, which is why I would just say "segment" in the translation as well).
Peer comment(s):

agree Ralf Lemster : "Segment" is correct because this appears to refer to segment reporting (which includes EBIT by segment).

(tax) audit/review by segment

I just wonder if this is a tax-related question since 'Korrektur' is frequently used to describe the tax authorities' investigation and, if appropriate, alteration of Verrechnungspreise and so on

if it is, then 'Korrektur' is rather wider than 'correction'

if it isn't, ignore this answer
Peer comment(s):

neutral RobinB : I don't think the tax authorities have any interest at all in EBIT. Sound more like a due diligence or even an analyst's report to me...

segment-specific adjustment

or: segment-specific restatement

It says simply that the author cannot adjust (or: restate) the amounts for the individual (reportable) segments based on the data provided by the company.

Segment reporting (business and/or geographical segments) is required by both the HGB (for consolidated financial statements) and IFRSs.
