there might be a better term than the above (but IMO it's better than Langenscheidt's 'console TV'). They're just distinguishing them from wall-mounted TVs.

: Maybe it's just me, but if it is just placed on the floor (and not e.g. screwed down or otherwise secured), I wouldn't use the word 'mounted'

: floor model wäre was ganz anderes - nämlich das Ausstellungsmodell (aus dem Schaufenster) und auch "mounted" ist nicht korrekt, wie Cilian schon sagt
