: How would you fit "Behandlung" into the sentence? IMO your suggestion does not go together with the given context ("Discounts, rebates, credits and allowances" and "grants"). / ADD: I clearly see where you're coming from but would still avoid "Behandlung"

I understood the sentence to mean sending in an application for a grant (or discount etc. ) which subsequently would be "treated". This treatment of an application would therefore constitute a "Behandlung"
