I'm getting a bit confused by some of these water terms. Both Wasseranschluß and Wasserhahn can mean "tap". Given that the Wasseranschluß has a size, I'm tempted to call it a tap (it sounds better than saying "the water connection should be connected etc."). Or is the Wasseranschluß maybe a water pipe or supply?
Then there's "Kaltwasseranschlussschlauch" - cold water connection hose, simply?
It's mainly Wasseranschluß and Wasserhahn that are confusing me here. TIA for rescuing me from this sea of confusion in which I'm presently drowning!

I think confusion is arising through the German insistence on cooking cabbages twice; what would you fill a bain-marie through a water-connection with, but water????
Anyway, may I suggest the following:
"....have a 3/4" water connection for filling. This must be connected by means of a cold water pipe to a water tap or wall-valve."
I think a tap and a valve are sufficiently different for this to be understood; the valve is usually of the "on-off" variety - but not always. It could also refer to a wall-tap.

I think the other suggestions have provided satisfactory answers to your questions (if you can wade through them...), but for the sake of clarity the following comment: in general, 'Anschluss' is used to refer to any type of connection (abstract) or any point/object where a connection is made (concrete), and whether alone or in combination, it must be understood in context. In this case, the Wasseranschluss of the equipment is the water connector (inlet connector to be more precise, or simply inlet, but this must be deduced). A water tap can also be called a Wasseranschluss if it's the point where a connection is made to obtain water. Some further examples: 'Druckeranschluss' of a computer = printer connector / printer port, and for an IC, an Anschluss is a pin in English.
