Discussion

Drmanu49 Oct 24, 2023:
Xray performed in bed so the binder may be removed for the Xray if the patient is not moving.
Bashiqa Oct 24, 2023:
@ Manu Would the binder be left in place while they did the X-Ray? If so, I`ll happily agree with your interpretation.

Drmanu49 Oct 24, 2023:
It is bassin ceinturé, not ceinture du bassin.
Bashiqa Oct 24, 2023:
I read this as referring to someone who has suffered serious trauma and is now in hospital. An x-ray of the pelvis has been taken and is now being followed up with an ultrasound (FAST). Dr. Manu is of the opinion that the patient is still "fastened together" with a belt or binder to protect the pelvis. Perhaps additional context might clear up the situation.

pelvic girdle

The pelvic area which is x-rayed.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Drmanu49 : I doubt that it is the anatomic area in this case.// I understand this as the medical device being used.

Isn`t "la symphese" in that area?

Pelvic girdle

The pelvic girdle is a ring of bones that connects the spine and the legs. It is made up of three pairs of bones: the ilium, the ischium, and the pubis. The pelvic girdle supports the weight of the upper body and provides attachment points for muscles and ligaments.
