Spanish to English Bus/Financial Law: Contract(s) mandate
What's the meaning of deducida in this context?

En el ejercicio de este mandato, se faculta para representar al mandante con todas las facultades ordinarias y extraordinarias del mandato juridicial, especialmente las señaladas en el artículo séptimo del Código de Procedimiento Civil, pudiendo desistirse en primera instancia de la acción; deducida, contestar demandas, aceptar la demanda contraria, ...

(Deducida, not deducido, referring to the mandataria, I suppose)

También tiene sentido leerlo entre comas.
"de la acción, deducida, contestar...".
Algo como "de la acción, una vez deducida/cuando ya está decidida, ...".
Pero se lee perfectamente sin comas, como ya se ha dicho.

Never underestimate the capacity of notaries to write nonsense, as I have had the misfortune to experience all too often recently. They just cut and paste and don't read what they've written.

Thanks a lot for your answers I came to the conclusion that this notary has entered a semicolon where it should not be. My TM has an old translation with almost the same text, without the semicolon. Disregarding this, the translation is not difficult. Your suggestions are spot on. Only that it was not an error in ocr procedure, it's already there in the pdf.

Typo / OCR error - punctuation The ST is standard Chilean boilerplate PoA waffle and should read:

introduced/brought

First, see OCR error explanation in discussion box. Then,

desistirse en primera instancia de la acción; deducida
--> +/-
withdraw/abandon claims/actions introduced/brought in courts of first instance

In this context, a translation of deducida can probably be omitted since it's clear (in English...) that the mandatario can only withdraw actions/claims made on behalf of his mandante.

Spanish term (edited): acción (;) deducida

action (;) brought

action filed, West.

desistirse de : coll. 'abandon' or 'drop'; withdraw (from), West. Synonyms in English law: terminate, discontinue and waive, though meaning slightly different things. Cut to bulky manuals and textbooks on civil litigation and practic/se as well as G/hits.

PS the wrong punctuation has to be included if the translation is meant for 'notarisation', namely notarial attestation or certification as being 'true and faithful to the original'. Our inhouse Notaries in London insisted on inclusion of the errors / clangers.
Note from asker:
I translate to Swedish and I normally make corrections without translator's notes, if the error is obvious.
