DD avec dépression?
Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (1): Drmanu49

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Another possibility One of the Ds could be dementia.
I think we can only guess here.

DD (differential diagnosis)

The expression DD avec dépression can be found here — http://www.palliative-vs.ch/docs/formation/fr/ECA_Palliative... (DD avec dépression et démence in full)—, but without any expansion. The article is entitled Etat confusionnel Comment le détecter, le gérer et accompagner les proches. It explains (for some reason!) that état confusionnelle or ECA is 'delirium' in English. Maybe this is a pointer to DD subsequently being in English...
We certainly find DD in English meaning 'delirious-demented' or 'delirium in the demented'.

"Eighteen delirious (D) and 43 delirious-demented (D-D) patients were compared"
https://neuro.psychiatryonline.org/doi/10.1176/jnp.10.2.199

"differences between delirium in the demented (DD) versus delirium in the nondemented (ND).
Results: We were able to examine data collected on 100 delirious patients: 82 ND patients and 18 DD patients. Patients in the DD group, compared to the ND group, had significantly greater levels of disturbance of consciousness and impairments in all cognitive domains"
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19939312/

HOWEVER, I'd go for another (French) option, diagnositique différentielle avec dépression, where DD is not the ailment but the means of determining the problem (I think).

"Diagnostic différentiel avec dépression masquée"
https://www.cen-neurologie.fr/files/files/enseignement/cours...

"Diagnostic différentiel avec dépression réactionnelle normale difficile"
https://www.prepecn.com/reviser/fiches/item-144-deuil-normal...

"Un syndrome dépressif (diagnostic différentiel avec dépression) : surtout lorsqu'il est accompagné d'aboulie, d'apathie, de manque d'intérêt et d'inhibition"
https://www.studocu.com/fr/document/universite-de-picardie-j...

For which we find the literal
"Differential diagnosis with depression is still an issue to be resolved and might be answered by CSF Aβ42, T‐tau and P‐tau measurements"
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6493597/

"Differential Diagnosis with Depression – Another mistake involves the person's humor or mood. Given the suffering described, the person comes to the professional with low humor. The diagnosis of Depression is made. This diagnosis is not wholly wrong: the mood is indeed depressed. But it is a case of Reactive Depression."

This goes to show that it can take upwards of 26 minutes to find the translation of two letters with which one can satisfy oneself.

DD

I think the doctor might have used the English abbreviation for Dissociative Disorder. It could also be "Dépersonnalisation et Dérealisation", one of the dissociative disorders.

In any case, I'd keep DD.

Developmental Dysmnesia

“Developmental Dysmnesia”: A Case Report
Abstract
We report a 9-year-old girl who presented from an early age a severe and specific verbal memory disorder, in the absence of a definite etiology. The results of an extensive neuropsychological assessment showed a dissociation between normal visuo-spatial memory abilities and a marked short-term and long-term verbal memory impairment. We argue that our case is affected by “developmental dysmnesia”, a condition so far described in two cases only (De Renzi and Lucchelli, 1990, and Temple, 1997). The disorder affected episodic as well as semantic verbal memory. The long term effects on learning and cognition of a memory deficit occurring early in childhood are discussed.
Dysmnésies Développementales
Est-ce que peut-être c'est là qu'il se trouvent les initiales DD?
https://www.cairn.info/revue-de-neuropsychologie-2017-3-page...

Developmental dysmnesia in a poor reader
E De Renzi 1, F Lucchelli
Affiliations expand
PMID: 2245300 DOI: 10.1093/brain/113.5.1337
Abstract
A 22-yr-old subject with moderate developmental dyslexia experienced poor memory from an early age. In spite of normal intelligence he had great difficulty in learning historical and geographical names, mathematical formulae, poems and songs, and verbal series such as the letters of the alphabet and the months of the year. His recognition of familiar faces was also faulty at times. A battery of memory tests confirmed a moderate deficit of verbal as well as visual memory, whereas spatial memory was preserved. Other cognitive functions were intact, except for a mild reading disability. No evidence of brain pathology was provided by his history, neurological examination and CT scanning.
