The assets of the Bank are typically funded in the same currency as that of the business transacted in order to minimize foreign exchange exposure. The Bank manages exposure to the effects of fluctuations in prevailing foreign currency exchange rates on its financial position and cash flows. The Regional Director sets limits on the level of exposure by currency and in total for both overnight and intra-day positions, which are monitored daily.
