German term
kontusionelle Blutanteile
German to English
Medical
Medical (general)
trauma surgery
Patient mit SHT:
"Im Schockraum-CT zeigt sich ein diffuses Schädelhirntrauma mit rechtsbetonten subarachnoidalen und kontusionellen Blutanteilen."
How can I incorporate the "Anteile" into the translation? I could easily omit it and not ask the question, I guess the translation would not suffer greatly, but I'd like to hear your proposals for an elegant translation that captures the idea of "Anteile".
Anyone feeling medically creative today?
Thanks in advance for your input.

contusion-related blood components
This is a matter of personal preference. May you get an answer that you find subjectively satisfying: ...subarachnoid and contusion-related blood components predominant/predominating on the right.

Since this is a traumatic brain injury/contusion, perhaps a better fit here is Blutabbauprodukte, blood degradation products?

Note from asker:
Thanks, Christopher. I wonder what exactly they mean by "Anteile" though. Blood "components" are plasma, RBC, WBC, platelets. I doubt that that's what they mean. Oder ?? |
