German term

KNS

German to English Medical Medical (general) neurological status
In a medical report, in the section on physical examination findings, specifically in neurological findings:
"KNS links etwas schwächer als rechts."

@Lirka Thank you for your input :-)
Celia Bodnar (asker) Feb 23, 2023:
It is possibly a typo. The before and after are the results for other general findings and neurological findings specifically (finger-nose test, knee-heel test, etc).
Lirka Feb 23, 2023:
@Asker: I think to be more sure whether Susanne is right, look at the entire structure of the report. If they're talking about other neurological issues before and after, then Susanne is correct (most likely). If they are NOT talking about neuro issues (just about general physical exam), then my option could fit as well.
Lirka Feb 23, 2023:
@Susanne. Likely, Very likely. Typos abound in discharge reports. Enter it, I will agree.
Susanne Schiewe Feb 23, 2023:
Koordination, Motorik (i.e. typo?), Sensibilität?

die Untersuchung der Motorik, Sensibilität und
Koordination durchzuführen.

What comes ... ... before and after this item/finding? "KNS" could well be "Kopf- und Nackenschmerz(en)", but I am far from being sure about that.

cursory neurological examination (kursorischer Neurostatus)

It could be "kursorischer Neurostatus", though it does not seem to be a title. Still, I think it's possible.

Is this a stroke patient? If so, it would fit. The left side of the body is somewhat weaker.

(Aside: First looking into the direction of Kraft(minderung) for K, but what are N and S then?
Just some brainstorming:
N= neuro
S= Sensibilitaet. Status, Schweregrad, Screening, etc.)
