Βακτηρία – by itself - = cane, crutch, shoe pad, tail skid or stick, and “Στυλίσκος βακτηρίας” = “tail skid strut”.

The reason I set my confidence level to "medium" for this answer was because my only source of the information that I provided was the Νέο Ελληνο-Αγγλικό Λεξικό Τεχνικών Ορών του Νικόλαο Απ. Πανταζή. However, that said, i have always found that dictionary to be very reliable and accurate for technical terminology so I have plenty of reasons to trust it.
