Joseph Tein Aug 20, 2022:
plantar perforation disease This is what Elena has suggested in her reference comment below... that mpp = "mal perforante plantar."

Sample sentence found in an online article: "Diabetic foot is a complication directly related to diabetes. It is characterized by an increased risk of developing wounds, also known as "plantar perforation disease"."

plantar foot ulcer

Please see the references and the discussion box.

Recurrence of plantar foot ulcers is a common and major problem in diabetes but not well understood. Foot biomechanics and patient behavior may be important. The aim was to identify risk factors for ulcer recurrence and to establish targets for ulcer prevention.

https://diabetesjournals.org/care/article/37/6/1697/29712/Ri...

To prevent plantar foot ulcer recurrence, international guidelines recommend the use of therapeutic footwear with a demonstrated plantar pressure-relieving effect.3 An innovative adjunctive offloading strategy could provide patients with real-time feedback on at-risk plantar pressures during everyday activities, allowing for an immediate response in activity behaviour and offloading, and thereby acting as an early warning system for increased ulcer risk.

diabetic foot ulcer

Diabetic foot ulcers are usually plantar; "diabetic foot ulcer" is the condition coded in ICD-10.
Example sentence:

A diabetic foot ulcer is an open sore or wound on the foot of a person with diabetes, most commonly located on the plantar surface, or bottom of the foot.

Note from asker:
You're right, of course. MPP mal perforante plantar. Thank you!

Neuropathic foot ulcers form as a result of a loss of peripheral sensation and are typically seen in individuals with diabetes. Local paresthesias, or lack of sensation, over pressure points on the foot leads to extended microtrauma, breakdown of overlying tissue, and eventual ulceration.

Healing time for neuropathic planter foot ulcers (NPFUs) in persons with diabetes may be reduced through use of non-removable fiberglass total contact casting (F-TCC) compared with removable cast walkers (RCWs), although the evidence base is still growing.

Es que ha habido mejoría no que dice respecto a la mpp (Maximum Peak Pressure)
Ahora mpp también puede referirse a un medicamento.
