Alguém me ajuda? Pretty please?

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Here is an example of one such campus, right down the road from here, and what it offers in terms of education/courses.

Hey Barbara! Thanks a lot! I was struglling with your definition, maybe due to UK/US differences. But I'm starting to see "extension" a lot. Feels wrong, honestly hahaha. Like when you are in School and translate "ventilador" as "ventilator" instead of "fan". I will leave one more day to see if anyone brings more options, but really up for your option. |

Adrian, thank you so much for your collaboration. I wrote this kudoz because I wasn't satisfied with the discussion on the previous two terms. I didn't realise that extensão in Brasil is a noun that, at least on federal level, encompasses many different activities that may have other terms in English (outreach, extension, widening participation, continuous formation, etc). I will leave for tomorrow to decide the best choice, but thanks again! |
Post graduation course
Hi Nick, There is some reasoning behing PG course or Certification, but I think for Extensão in Brazilian Context, it is not only restricted to PGCerts, Dips, or courses, but also to widening participation courses, social laboratories and more. Thank you so much for your collab@ |
Discussion
By comparing Extention and Outreach on Collins dictionary:
Extention https://www.collinsdictionary.com/pt/dictionary/english/outr...
a service by which some of the facilities of an educational establishment, library, etc, are offered to outsiders
b. (as modifier)
a university extension course
and outreach
SUBSTANTIVO
4. an act or instance of reaching out
5. length or extent of reach
6. the act of extending services, benefits, etc., to a wider section of the population, as in community work
ADJECTIVO
7. concerned with extending community services, benefits, etc
an educational outreach program
Also, at least on Federal level, outreach in Brazil ends up absorbing different definitions of what is being said here (as in Widening participation, outreach, extension).
I'll leave another day for people to comment.
