We analyze the semantics of the noun “power” using explanatory dictionaries of the Russian language. We focus on the range of entities holding power. The analysis of definitions and examples allowed us to find out and describe the typical groups of entities in power and highlight the most productive ones.

: There are two aspects to "субъектность" that can be called "entity" and "agency": the first one ontological, the second one identificational (as with women fighting for agency), but I don't think "power" is universally usable wherever "власть" occurs

I tried to avoid power too. The answer must be tailored to the exact context as no one English word can cover the whole breadth of the Russian concept.
